The Atlantic-facing coast — the most exposed and the most dramatic. Running from Bude in the north down through Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow, around to Newquay, Watergate Bay, and on to St Agnes and St Ives. The big-name surf beaches sit here — Bude, Widemouth, Polzeath, Constantine, Watergate, Fistral — with the iconic sea stacks of Bedruthan Steps in between, and the tin-mining cliffs around St Agnes Head behind them.
From the air the north coast reveals its rhythm: a headland, a beach, another headland. Each shot is a single beat of that cliff-and-cove pattern, captured from where a walker can never quite stand.
